Carson's first wife and mother to his three sons, Jody, was his childhood sweetheart. They married in 1949 and split the sheets in 1963. He married Joanne Copeland that same year, but divorced nine years later. His third trip to the jeweler was Joanna Holland in 1972 and divorced thirteen years later. Number four was Alexis, married in 1987 when she was in her thirties. Johnny was 62.
